You may be able to leave my previous review out, as this is a company website but you had better look at 5 others.

On 5-5-2023, my wife and I purchased $291.77 for Lilac bushes and other shrubs. The owner, John was very nice when we were looking at his product. As stated, we purchased the aforementioned and returned home. We kept the purchases in our garage, water them and took them into our back yard for planting on 5-8-2023. As I started to use my post hole digger, I could only get down to a 4 in. depth. I tried 11 different places in our yard and hit concrete in ALL 11 after digging a 4 in. depth. Our neighbor told us that our home was built where the old Chenoa High School had been and our ENTIRE back yard was concrete under the top soil. We were not aware of this. I called Devore Landscaping and explained the situation to an employee named Julie. I told her I would try the front yard and see if I could get any of the product planted. She even suggested a possible trade out in other product, such as rock, herbs etc. I told her I would be open to that but I wanted to see if I could get some planted in front yard. I. She said "fine and I will talk to John, the owner and discuss this with him." Julie called back in less than 5 minutes and stated the following: "John says there is nothing we can do for you. No return (s), no exchanges. You should have made sure you could plant them before you bought them." Due to job (s) of my wife and I, we have moved 11 different times. I have planted over 300 types of trees, shrubs and bushes. In my 70 yrs. on earth I never "tested" to see if the ground had concrete or other hard substances which would prevent me from planting. Actually, never had a problem once. So, according to Mr. John, he will not exchange for any of the bushes or shrubs, yet he states in all of his ads about customer service etc. I could have gone elsewhere and purchased what we needed. However, being a business owner myself (now retired) I appreciate small local businesses and want to keep the business local. Apparently, in this happening, I was dead wrong. Possibly he looks at myself and my wife (76 yrs of age) and simply has no respect for senior citizens. Seniors, beware. This man, in my opinion, has very little business scruples or respect for us.
