DO NOT HIRE!!! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, SHADY, AND A THIEF!! IS ALSO NOT REGISTERED IN FLORIDA. WORST OF ALL TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A 64 YEAR OLD RETIREE!!! On February 25, 2021, McCord Landscape and I entered into a Contract for a large landscaping job that totaled $14,275.00. I paid McCord Landscape (Tim McCord) $2,750.00 for the start of a large landscaping project. Then on March 4, 2021, I paid McCord Landscape another $8,887.50. On March 15, 2021, Tim McCord came to me and demanded that "we" re-negotiate the contract for a higher price. I informed him that it was not my fault he did not clearly do his research on what he needed as to equipment costs, workers, and Palm Tree costs. I agreed to pay McCord Landscape $1,000.00, which I gave him another check for that day. This left a final payment due of $1,000.00. In addition to the $14,275.00 McCord Landscape received, I also ended up paying the additional $7,000.00 for concrete bins and the "clean fill dirt". On March 16, 2021, in the middle of the project, Tim and his worker just left without saying anything. As a matter of fact, the truck driver of the "clean fill dirt" which McCord Landscape had me order 5 loads of the day before at $250.00 a load, was the person who informed me that as he was bringing in load number four, McCord Landscape was leaving the property with their equipment. McCord Landscape planted eleven Palm Trees incorrectly. They are all leaning and wilted because he failed to plant them deep enough. I paid $750.00 for an AutoCAD Landscaping Design 3D Layout, which I never received. I also paid for sixty-four (64) lbs of Saint Augustine and Gulf Coast grass seed, along with mulch, soil and fertilizer that Tim McCord took with him when he left. I am tired of being taken advantage of by these type of contractors. I was smart enough to have him sign a contract prior to starting and made copies of each check he cashed.
