PEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Obed is very responsive and his bids are competitive. He's also willing to start jobs sooner than most other contractors. All of that made his bid to do our downstairs high-end bathroom remodel appealing. However, more than 3 months later I'm still dealing with his lack of craftsmanship, and his unwillingness to fix his mistakes. I have $1,000 Delta Trinsic rain shower/hand shower system that doesn't work correctly because he installed it incorrectly. I've also got a bathtub that is already chipping (he refinished it himself), joints that aren't flush, and I'm left feeling trapped - waiting for him to honor is word to fix what's broken, but also wanting to get this project done. It's been 3 months and the project was supposed to take about a week. Ultimately, the issue is that Obed takes on jobs he's not qualified to do, and then doesn't address his mistakes on the back end. That's a problem. Throughout the project I told him to take his time, that I didn't mind if it took longer than expected, as long as it was done right. Still, things were completed in a rushed fashion that really took a toll on the "finished" product. Now, Obed will be responsive to my calls and texts, but frustratingly, he won't give me a date to come back and fix everything, and instead asks if I have certain replacement parts. When I ask him to please tell me what he needs, he never gets back to me. We end up going in circles. When it came time to get permits done for the in-floor heat, it became evident that Obed had done not only electrical work he's not qualified to do, but that there were other elements of the project he shouldn't have been handling either. Now, I've called in professional plumbers to fix the shower, and I'm in search of a reputable GC to clean up Obed's mess. I've learned my lesson. -Kelsey
